    Taurus 689

Buddy of mine has a Taurus 689 that I can pick up. I don't have any wheel guns, so I'm thinking about getting it. I think they're from the late 90's or thereabouts. This particular model is Stainless Steel with a 6" ribbed barrel. Nice clean gun with a faint hint of a turn line. I'm just not sure about these 689's. It seems like the cylinder has a lot of play. I had a few Model 94's/85's that seemed to lock up tighter. Any thoughts on this particular firearm?

I had Taurus Stainless Steel 608 when it first came on the market...think it was late 80's/early 90's.....what a huge disappointment....lots of slop and the timing was off to cause cylinder to jam at times. Great looking pistol though. Sold it a few years after I purchased it new. But I do hear the customer service is great and not sure if the lifetime warranty is transferable...but I rather not deal with repairs. I've read those early years had lots of issues.
