    Colt Python 2" Blued

Forgive me for my not knowing, but are Colt Pythons with a 2" barrel allowed to be transferred to CA?

There are no 2" barrel Colts presently on the roster.

You can see everything Colt has on the Roster here:

If it is being transferred from a grandparent or parent to a child or vice versa, then sure. If it is converted to Single Action and has a longer barrel installed, then it might meet the single action exemption. If the current owner moved to CA and becomes a resident, and then sells it to someone else via PPT then yes.
Or if the buyer has been deemed to be better than the rest of us by the government (ie; LEO) then they can ignore the roster.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

        There. Are. Four. Lights!

Thanks for all the info! I have one that I was trying to sell, and wanted to post it, but it seems that it would be a lot of work to get it converted and barrels swapped.

Are you in Cali? If so, you could sell it to any resident here via PPT without modifying the gun.

If you are a California resident and the gun is currently in California, it is perfectly legal to sell it FTF as a private party transfer. Both you and the buyer need to go to an FFL and complete the paperwork.
