9mm shield out the door reasonable price

Thinking about a 9mm shield. Local gun shop has them at $500 out the door, one hour plus from the Inland Empire metro areas. Reasonable?

    Thank you for your input!

Not great but it's not terrible either.

You could put in a bunch of effort to get it cheaper and probably only save $20-$30.

Riflegear has them in stock for $399.99 + tax and DROS which is cheaper

You could probably try to get turners or another shop to price match if that's too far of a drive

          That is a decent price.
Minus $25 for transfer fees. U r at $475. To calculate tax, assuming 8%.

          $475/1.08 = about $440 asking price.

            $419

I know it is not the cheapest, but I just bought mine a few weeks ago from Sportsman's Warehouse for $419. I don't know if you have a Sportsman's Warehouse in SoCal, but would bet that Bass Pro, Turners, or some other sporting good shop may have similar prices.

not cheapest. but i think turners has them for 439 plus tax and dros.. gets you right under 505.00. and you should be able to find one close to you so you can save on time and gas.

Thank you for all the insight. As two trips to the inland empire would easily run me $100 in fuel and wear and tear on the vehicle (280 miles total between both trips), $500 out the door it is at the LGS.

                Thank you again!

                  Good deal.

When you add it up like that it is a super deal. And you are going to love that little pistol. It is now my favorite.

some trips are worth 280 total miles driven (or double that) because of a great find; i've made those trips. but, i'd pay a bit more for the convenience of buying local for a commonly found handgun. if i could get a great price locally, all the better. my preference is to support the lgs that has been good to me over the last several years.

                    congrats in advance.

Good choice. $500 OTD is a decent price. Driving much further isn't worth your time/gas.

Gungenie to a lgs or local pawn shop.

                        $470 for me, minimal drive.

Just a thought for you. Spend the time that you would have driving into researching a local FFL with cheap transfer prices. Then if you choose not to support local shops, you can buy online and support local FFL.

$500 seems high to me. I paid $450 for an NTS version back in December, and that included sales tax, SSE and DROS fees..

That's a little high. But not terrible for OTD
