bullet button and 10rd mag and you're GTG.

Or are you talking about building one yourself?

No need for pinned muzzle device if you have a bullet button.

Muzzle devices are pinned/welded to make rifles legal since a minimum 16" barrel is required.

It's my understanding that some now view pistol building as a legal gray area since SSE went away, however since you are manufacturing the pistol for personal use from scratch and not converting an already manufactured firearm, it seems reasonable that the previous build methods still apply.

Mill lower, attach bullet button, install single-shot sled (or assemble without gas block/tube, or use a plastic block instead of a buffer to prevent action from cycling), then complete rest of assembly to CA legal pistol.

Now that it's completed as a single-shot pistol, convert it to semi-auto.

                Ok.

                Complete 80% lower.
                Install LPK with bullet button.
Install pistol upper without gas system (or other method to ensure single shot operation).
                Use zero round sled.
Never install stock or shoulder a brace.
                Shoot and enjoy.

At this point some believe it is ok to convert to a semi-auto. Some do not. This is a decision you will have to make for yourself as I don't believe there is any case law to guide us.

                Good luck.
