    About roster and microstamping

I haven't been following the regulations much lately. But I was surprised to see that M&P 22 is no longer available off the roster. A lot of other guns will expire from the list in a year or two. Does it mean by 2017 there will be no pistol on the roster at all essentially banning hang gun from california for good?

I meant to ask if someone can explain the whole situation about roster and microstamping real quick. Thanks

Hopefully the manufacturers of California approved handguns will continue to stock Ca. with handguns. I believe that the expiration date will get renewed as long as the pistol is in the same formation...someone will chime in soon

Supposedly Ruger and S&W have dug their heels in. They will not renew once gun falls off the list. As an example the Ruger MkIII is no longer on the list. This is/was a very popular pistol in production for years. I think, in one form or another since 47’
Hopefully their strategy will work and microstamping or better yet the roster list will go away. Stay tuned!

I just checked the Roster list. There are only 2 Ruger semi autos and 7 S&W.
                What’s that 2A thing again??

                  In a nut shell.......
                  - The roster now requires microstamping, which doesnt exist.
                  - Any good business will always try to improve their products
                  - When they make a change it requires retesting in CA, which triggers microstamping
                  - If there are no changes they can renew their roster status by just paying the renewal fee with no testing.

There have been law suits but judges have ruled that if there is are guns on the roster it is not a infringement.
