    glock high cap question?

my buddy has a glock 23, used to be his grandpas (ccw) and said it was some sort of FBI edition but he said his mags were 15 capacity...or maybe even 17. I looked at the glock website, and it shows compatibility of 15 and 17 round mags for the G23.... are these just G22 mags with extensions? because the only high cap mags I've ever heard of for the G23 were 13 rounds?

    thanks...

Might be G22 mags; I haven't seen 'adapters' to make mags for the full-sized models fit more securely in the compact models, but they do exist. I know G21 mags fit and function in G30s, but wobble some.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

wouldn't the G22 mag create a big gap between the grip of the G23 and the mag of the 22 since it's longer (fullsize)?

If you put G22 mags in G23 you can move them back and forth slightly but they are still securly in the weapon and feed just find. The +2 floorplate is more like a +1 for .40 SW...althought I think you can crame two 9mm in with it. I don't have any 9mm glock magazines to test it out with.

Or you can get a plus 5 for your G22 mags. I don't know if they will fit a 23 but I think they would.

Personally I wouldn't use them, but here:
