Czech 7.62x25 ammo question

[nick]

Hi,

I came across this ammo on AmmunitionToGo:

http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/product_info.php/pName/1000rds-762x25-tokarov-czech-military-ammo-on-stripper-clips/cName/762x25-tokarov-fmj-ammo

They don't say whether it's corrosive or not, and it's Eastern block milsurp, so I presume it's corrosive. Does anyone have more info on this ammo? Has anyone used it? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

nick

I was on jg sales this morning looking for ammo for my CZ 52 I'm getting and they have it there. there are a few reviews for it and they seem pretty positive. check em' out. They are a little more expensive I think for a 1000 case.

or here is the link to the reviews

Yep, assume it's corrosive. Sounds like it has the typical hard primers of most of the old milsurp rounds as well.

It's a great price, and well worth stocking up on for that much.

Thank you. I'll check out the reviews, as well. And yeah, the price of ammo is so low that converting it to 9mm doesn't make sense yet.

BTW, AIM has the 1220 rd cans for $119.95, as of last Tuesday. Might come out about the same though with shipping from the midwest.

That one's Romanian, I read pretty bad reviews about it.

Never had any problems with the Romy. One does want to avoid at least certain lots of the Bulgarian stuff though.

Read bad reviews on that one, too

Just read up a bit more on this. Apparently, Czech loads are hotter, due to CZ52 having sturdier design than the other similar Eastern block guns. Gotta remember not to shoot Czech ammo if I ever get those other guns.
