I've got an Advantage Arms kit for my G20/21

They are great kits, a little finicky on ammo - follow the mfgr's recommendations and you are fine.

My only issue with either the kit or my other dedicated 22s is availability of ammo. I pretty much have switched to my own reloads in 9mm and 38S for all my lightweight plinking and practice.

I have advantage arms conversion for my G34 gen4. Pretty solid. The only ammo won't cycle is the Remington thunderbolt for my kit

How badly does shooting .22lr gunk up your frames?

I've been avoiding .22lr conversion kits so far out of concern for this.

I have an Advantage Arms for my G17. Runs just about all 22 except CCI regular. Loves plated ammo. Gunk? Not bad at all. Easy cleanup. 22lr is getting cheap and available again. Just scored 1,500 rounds at $.04/end.

All .22's will get dirtier, faster than their center fire counterparts.

That being said, I think its worth the extra effort to clean them more often so I can benefit from the ammo cost savings. Advanage Arms kits for the Glock are the best, trigger will be very close to original. Weight will be much lighter.

I have a conversion kit for my G19. I also have one for my 1911.
I plan on getting kits for my G26 and Beretta 92FS.
I think .22lr conversion kits are great for most guns.

Where did you find .22 for that price. That's about what it costs me to reload 9s.

I have an Advantage Arms conversion for my G17 also. Runs fine on almost any ammo except Federal bulk (and AA tells you not to run Federal right on the box). It's a little dirtier than firing 9MM, but that's the nature of rimfire ammo in a blowback semi-auto.

OP, if you want practice with your frame and trigger configuration, it's worth the price. If you're just looking for a rimfire plinker, there are other options.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
