What date did Glock G3's 9mm's start having problems

I know for every problematic G3 out there ~ there are 3 owners that rave about how their G3 is perfect... Not looking to get into all that.

Just looking to pin down a timeframe when Glock started having issues with the 9mm G3's.

Isn't the issue the magazine followers?

From what I understand, this doesn't contribute to brass to the face ~

They started when the Gen4 came out, I think they changed something in the internals or geometry for parts commonality.

Reported problems began when they redesigned and changed the geometry on the extractors and the slide - inclusion of loaded chamber indicator 2006-7 (LCI). They have continued to make changes with the latest iteration around 2009. Most of the problems are centered around the "dip" style mim extractors. Replacing extractors, ejectors and followers to an earlier design has helped some owners with issues.

Gen 4 production began in 2009.
