    Sig 220 Carry

Anyone have experience with these? Was wondering how accurate/reliable they are compared to say, glocks, or other SIGS with a longer barrel. Since the carry's barrel is .5 inch less than the full size, I was wondering if that impacts its performance noticeably.

I have shot both and the accuracy seemed to be the same (maybe it's because my skill level is not high enough ). Some review I have read also seem to confirm that. So I went with the carry model. I shot better with the P220 than with an SW1911.

The P220 Carry IMHO is one of the funnest .45 ever built. I own a P220, P220ST and a P220 Carry. The accuracy is all the same but the recoil on the shorter barrelled Carry model is less, believe it or not. I read this on the article and didn't believe a shorter barrel and slide would have less recoil, but it did. I was pleasantly surprised when I first shot mine. Seems like the newer recoil spring was the key factor to this. Whatever it is, it works.

Sold my 220 Carry after about 150 rounds through, simply becasue I could not shoot it well, comparing with 1911 and Glock. I would suggest that you try it first before you buy, if you could.

I have tried the 220 full sized, and my accuracy is as good as when I'm using a 1911. I cannot shoot glocks well to save my life, which is why I am moving away from them.

I actually shot the 220 and the Glock 21sf during my last range visit and my groupings were much better with the 220.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my P220 carry - right out of the box dead accurate. Eats anything I feed it.

Of all my pistols my 220 carry is what I keep closest to me, just in case.

I've owned my P220R Carry for a little over a year now. I've only put a few hundred rounds through it, but haven't had any problems. I've read a handful of instances where people had extraction issues. I believe that SIG has worked hard to remedy this problem. Like I said, I have yet to have any problems, but I just wanted to alert you to a potential issue.

In terms of accuracy, I am not a bullseye shooter so I am happy with a gun if I can shoot fist sized groups at 25yds. My P220R Carry definately shoots up to that standard.

My brother owns (3) P220R Carrys (nitron, elite and nickel). Until recently, he has used them as off-duty weapons (he just switched back to his P228). He loved carrying and shooting his P220R Carrys.

My 220 carry's were the best shooting .45's I've ever shot. Got rid of my SAO carry due to I don't like SAO, and got rid of my Carry Elite because my XD45c did everything just as well for half the price and I am not afraid of rough housing the XD. Also holds 2 more rounds in a smaller package.

I love mines, and yes these things are accurate.

I have a P220 and P245. Both are great pistols but I bought my P245 for carry. I'm not sure why you'd opt for the smaller P220 Carry over the P220 if you are not going to use it for CCW.

My 220compact is just as good of a shooter as my 220 out to 8 yards.

Did you guys choose the DAK or the SAO triggers?

I had a 220ST and a 220 Carry. The Carry was a very close 2nd to the 220ST. They were both tack drivers. The 220ST had a small edge due to weight.
