    Pobjeda munitions/SP2022 issues

Yes, that is actually how it is spelled. Made in Bosnia...

Ok folks for lack of finding a better forum to put this in here it is:

Got a Sig SP2022 9mm. Been feeding tons of stuff through it to include weird stuff and steel. Has always been performing perfectly and very accurately. Maybe 1500 rounds through it and love it. Even when dirty...

So... I bought some of this Pobjeda ammo. Hey they had a sale so....

This stuff will not extract. When it fires it will eject just fine. Just not extract.... And not only is this a Sig but it is VERY clean.

And this is ONLY this gun. Works fine in Springfield, Glock, High Point, etc. Just not this gun.

    WTF? Any ideas?

    thanks.

chamber could have carbon build up, sometimes Russian , turkey, and Bosnian ammo can run pretty dirty. maybe crappy ammo that's why its on sale?

I'm trying to understand how it can eject fine without first extracting. Can it extract when you manually cycle the slide or not at all? The Sig might have a tighter chamber than the other pistols, and if the ammo isn't very good maybe that's it.

Well, big toes, you have a point. This Centerfire Rifle forum is where a lot of calgunners who shoot crappy Eastern European ammo hang out LOL

OP, ask a moderator to move the thread to the Handgun forum. More Sig 2022 shooters there.

So, have you used other ammo through your SP2022 since using the Pobjeda, and has that extracted normally? Just trying to clarify whether it is specific to the ammo or whether you have developed a more general extraction problem.

I, too, am confused how it can eject without first extracting. That's quite the trick!

Perhaps it's a subsonic load or something like that?

To be honest, though, I personally wouldn't worry about it. You say your gun shoots all sort of weird, crappy, or steel ammo an you just happened to have found one specific brand it doesn't like? Sounds like you know not to buy tht brand from now on. It'd be a shame if you tweaked you pistol to work with this one ammo only to find out it no longer works with some others.

I was a little concerned when I first opened this I'm putting a Sig SP2022 in jail this week. But sounds like just that one brand and it isn't something I'd buy.

Tom-ADC the 2022 is a solid gun so don't worry. I like it so much I bought two and now they have both been claimed by my oldest and middle daughters lol

Check out the reviews on Luckygunner
Poor Quality Ammo Review by VP9er
                      Value
                      Quality
Performance I've put 300 rounds of this ammo through my VP9 and have had several FTE's. Very frustrating on the range when you have to pull out your Gerber to pry out a spent casing every other magazine. I do not recommend this ammo. (Posted on 3/30/15)
Ammo jams more than with any other ammo I have used Review by Hawk
                      Value
                      Quality
Performance I have not had more jams or casings caught in the gun and not ejecting with any other ammo. Both my Smith & Wesson and my Ruger suffered from jams with this ammo that I have not experienced with other 9mm ammo. I shot maybe 300 rounds of my 1,000 round purchase before getting rid of the remaining ammo. Would never buy it again and will stick to brands that I know and have confidence in. (Posted on 1/28/15)

                        Thanks

Ok guys appreciate the input and appreciate all of your responses. But maybe I should clarify something.

Let's say i have 10 rounds in the magazine. I will have several that will extract and eject just fine, but then one or two that just won't extract. Impinged primer with the casing about half out of the barrel.

I know it's probably crappy ammo. But have shot a lot out of this Sig with no problems. And have other guns that feed this just fine. Won't buy it again if this gun doesn't like it, just trying to understand what's going on with it.

                        Thanks.

No extraction problems ever. except for this ammo. super clean gun.

I can toss whatever stuff out of my gun and go shoot Blazer, Win, Tul, etc. it doesn't matter. Even dirty. The gun will take anything but just apparently not this. Thanks for your help!
