Are there any solid, reliable 10MM options in 1911?

I know there are a few options out there, but it seems like the only handgun that really eats up the 10mm will is the G20

    Thoughts?

Saw a few nice Delta Elites and a Detonics 10mm at a show today.

        Witness hunter is pretty sweet

Other than that I've shot the RIA and like it, I intend to buy one once I find one for PPT in CA or just wait until I move to a free state. I have an early model Colt Delta Gold Cup, they are known for frame cracks with repeated heavy loads, new model Delta Elites are supposed to be better.

There's also the S&W 1006, haven't shot one but I've heard they are one of the best 10mm.

Old Delta or new Delta (with frame cut), those will not take full 10mm loads because the barrel is not fully supported (not ramped) barrels.

On roster, Glock 20/29 with a 550 price point will get you a lot of 10mm ammo. .40SW (at your own risk, so let's not debate that here) can be run thru the Glock as well.

Another (if you are roster exempt) option is the 2011 (STI perfect 10 6") or build your own 2011.

I have an RIA -- totally satisfied.

Are you limited to on-roster options?

On roster is just two kimbers, and (basically) two Glocks, iirc.

FWIW, I was just gifted a new RIA TAC FS 10mm from a friend. Not a fan of the full rail, but the price was right and it's 10mm. Fit and finish are nice - slide to frame fit is very tight. Huge improvement in QC over the past several years. Trigger breaks crisply at 2.75 lbs with over travel and creep adjusted to near perfection. The added weight of the full rail effectively mitigates muzzle rise and recoil.
