It's a mag issue. One would hope that Sig would eventually address the issue by having a sku that includes 10-round mags.

I prefer the compact size for sig p320. Very nice trigger compare to any Glocks I had in the past. I have the compact FDE with factory night sights. Awesome gun.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This, plus I've also EDC Kahr's, Kimber & SA 1911's,
M&P 40C. My 320 Compact is about to become my primary EDC. For me its the best combination of accuracy, ergo's, size and weight. I will admit, I'm disappointed with Sig's price increases on Xchange kits.

If you can get the P320 new without paying CA markup, I would get it. It's a good gun and I like it a lot better than Glocks. The P250 is also a nice one if you like DAO. I bought it as a way to train for better trigger control. The P250 also has the .45 ACP full size kit. There is a high demand for the P320 kits so I can see the price hike. It's not like Sig can just magically open a new factory and staff it to make new parts in a day. Plus they are busy pushing out other modular rifles like the 556xi and MCX. Even torwards the end of last year, the demand in CA for P320 made it hard to find. I'm glad Sig chose to produce more of the guns last year before the end of SSE. Now with the kits, I don't need FFL or CADOJ to get involved. The roster has nothing to do with the caliber kits so I'm good with waiting. I'm just waiting for the craziness to die down and for supplies to reach retailers, then I can see the prices discounted by the retailers.

I have a VP9 that I think is a great improvement over my Glocks. Would love to get a P320 at regular street price to compare to the VP9.

I have both a Glock 19 gen 4 and the Carry p320. I'll have both at the Calguns shoot on the 28th at FieldTime. I personally like the Glock a lot more but if anyone would like to try it I will be there. I like the Glock so much more I might try to trade the P320 for a P226 since I've always wanted one.

What idiot would pay $1500 for a P320? I said this before, but that would be $600 for the gun and $900 for the fanboi fee.





You are failing to include tax, DROS fees, and time/gas for four trips to the FFL.

Someone on this forum would. They just paid $1500 for one. Its obvious you don't like glocks, but they win the caliber conversion war. I'm glad you paid $600 for your 320, but for the rest of the calgunners paying $800+ is reality. And the caliber conversions at $400 are a total joke. Glock has the best, most efficient way for caliber conversions.

And DROS/TAX, time and gas are not reasons to buy a 320 for caliber conversions. Glock barrels ship directly to your front door for a quarter of the price of one sig conversion kit. Its pretty, its got that sig vibe, but the conversion method, and pricing, is gimmicky.

Anyone wants a 320 and has a sig 226, look ABOVE!!

I respect Glocks. Very much. I just don't like them for myself. And while they may win the caliber conversion war within a single platform size (i.e. full-size 9/40, compact 10/45, etc.), they don't win the platform conversion war. You can't turn a G17 into a G23 and then into a G31. To achieve that result with Glocks, you're looking at $1900, two months of wait time, and six trips to the FFL.

In theory (i.e. if kits become available), I can do the same type of conversion for $500 less and six weeks faster with a P320.

They have to decide for themselves what the gun is worth to them. For me, I'm not paying $50K for a Honda Accord just because the car isn't available.

I agree with that and can see the benefit and cool factor of the Sig design - especially since these are not on roster.

On the glock side, you cannot do that type of conversion. You can do cool things like have a rostered 29SF and run a 30S slide on it and it is exactly like a 30S which is not on roster. Or run a 17L upper on a Glock 22 RTF frame, or have a Glock 41 and order a Glock 20 upper effectively giving yourself a gen4 G20, etc...

Different systems. Both cool. Both types of modularity are nice.

I'm also very interested in getting a P320. I really like the feel of Sig P series pistols but I greatly prefer striker fired pistols to DA/SA guns. The problem for be is deciding between a full size or a P320C. I know one attraction to the 320 is the ability to later change out slides and frames, but I still like having guns dedicated to particular purposes.

When SSE was around and prices were fair, I got a PPQ. I didn't even know about the P320, but it definitely would have been considered along with the VP9 and PPQ's. I wouldn't even need conversions, since it seems to be a great striker fired pistol that compares with the rest of the best. I think I still would have bought the 5" PPQ, but I'd sport a P320. Reviews are great.

if you really want, you can do the same for a p320 and just buy a barrel. the conversion comes with a complete upper including slide, grip shell, night sights and a magazine. from what i see, swapping out the barrel on the Glock doesn't always feed right due to the extractor or something of the sort.
