    HD Revolver

I've had a GP100 with .38 Special +P rounds in one room, but I think I'll switch to my 4" Redhawk loaded with these .44 Special Grizzly 260 grain WFN.

Anybody else using this tried and true round for HD? Or should I go with my CZ97B?

Although I think any revo is fine ,I'd say go with the one your the most comfortable with. In a stressful HD situation, your actions must be automatic.
    PS, nice Redhawk

revolver or semi-auto, it's a matter of personal preference. go with what you know and what is ingrained into muscle memory. my HD handgun is a w german Sig Sauer P225 in the warm summer months and a w german Sig Sauer P220 .45 ACP in the colder winter months.

Currently... I have a revolver at the ready for home defense.

        .45ACP S&W Model 325PD (2.5") loaded with Federal 230gr Hydra-Shok JHP and spare moonclips of Federal 230gr Hydra-Shok JHP & Federal 230gr FMJ.

Nice revolver. I almost bought one at Bass Pro once and still regret not doing so.

OP, I am of the opinion that bigger-bullets-are-better so the .44 Spl does have appeal. By the way that's a nice looking Redhawk.

              Those 4" Redhawks are awesome!

I think you have HD covered.

I'm pretty satisfied with .357 hollow points or Critical Duty - especially with 8 of them on tap.

The 4" is just under a whopping 4lbs at 47oz. I was never a fan of the Bantam factory grips. The ones you see are Butler Creek (formally Uncle Mike's) which are very comfortable.

I heard that shooting 357 indoors without earplugs would be a real uncomfortable situation for the shooter. anyone heard this or have thoughts? Was told using 38 spl is better

I couldn't pass it up, it was in a consignment rack for $350 + tax/DROS (total $408 OTD).
I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

Wow, that was a deal, at that price I would have snatched it up in a hurry.

Here in Nevada you can use as many different guns as you want for concealed carry, so from time to time, I carry my '59 vintage M29. I have been using some Remington 240 grain hollowpoints that I have had for years, but I might just look into getting some more modern .44 special loads.

Shooting anything bigger than a .22 indoors without hearing protection is uncomfortable hearing wise. When it comes to permanent hearing loss there is no such thing as better, trust me on this one.
