I've been hankerin for a 1911 since my wife got her Rock 9mm. I was kinda looking at Kimbers and blued Colts. There was a pretty good sale price on this lil piece of sunshine and I was sunk. Too many people in there, so I paid for it and will go back and start jail time during the week. Now I've got time to figure out my stainless cleaning techniques....

I was kinda peeking for a 9mm because the wife's is so dang fun, but I just couldn't pass this one up. (.45 guy at heart.)

Honestly, I wasn't really looking to buy one right now. This definitely kills my fun budget for the foreseeable future. The main thing is that it tops my wishlist for that said future also. So, I'm done. I'm good, but I'm done.

Now I've got time to figure out my stainless cleaning techniques....

Just clean the internals, lube as normal and wipe down the exterior. Stainless is very low maintenance.
