I got the m&p 45, I like the gun alot very accurate and reliable for me so far, I just don't like the mag disconect.

My M&P has been awesome. Once all the fanboys get over their brand of choice, these are really going to sell. More and more PDs are buying them, and the rebates have been attracting new buyers like crazy.

No, it's a S&W 4006.

Concord PD went with the MP40 a while ago. Seems like it was a good upgrade from that other S&W thing they uses.

I love my M&P and am happy i didn't go with the glock or XD i considered. Glock grip was too blocky and the angle was comfortable but it didn't help me shoot any better. XD was simply not as easy to shoot as it didn't handle recoil as good (higher bore axis). MP was perrrrrfect.

I"ve put a few thousand through mine without issues, all kinds of different ammo, all went nicely. Put a nice FO sight on and got the slide blasted and the ramp, stricker button, and barrel end polished.

i see, i read on their page that it was an s&w. didn't know there was another model as popular as the m&p.

now that i think about it, that's just faux pas of me. the m&p is only popular in my view because you gun nuts sold me on it so hard :P

did you do any of the angle cut as per the instruction?

Well, yes, that is how I got the trigger so low and still safe.
Tip for working on the sear, file twice, then re-install and try it out. It is real easy to go too far.
I used Fliz and a polishing wheel on my Dermal (I know they are evil around guns, but use it sensibly and you should be ok) to polish all the surfaces where contact gets made.
I did mine in Jan 07 and have over 3000 rounds through her with no issues.
