I bet 5 minutes with a Dremel or a file would be cheaper.

$25 and pretty much no work. I'll give it a try. Thanks OP!

It's funny to me that the lci in that top picture where you can clearly see brass is not approved when the tiny hole at the rear of the chamber is definitely approved for the springfield 1911s that are on the roster.

Then repaint? I for one am not for taking machinery to firearms unless its to build one.

Bubba'ing an OEM part to me doesn't make as much sense as removing the OEM and getting a block or bubba'ing a back up. If I had two LCI, then I'd play with the idea of bringing out some tools. But it is only $25.

NapaPlinker, I've been playing with the idea of removing the mag disconnect. Already have the guides bookmarked. Have you done that?

I have. I used a 1911 magazine catch spring like I saw suggested online. I Did that before I shot it, Ive put maybe 350-400 down range with no issues.

So glad they finally made this. I already scraped the off the red paint and blacked out the white letters on the LCI but I will order one of these anyway and see how it looks.
