    Glock MOS

So rumor is that the G17 (Gen 4) will be shipping with the MOS option very soon.

Does anyone know if these will come equipped only with standard-height sights as shown in all their press photos? (As opposed to suppressor-height to allow co-witness.)

Granted, here in CA, it will be very difficult to get any MOS-variant Glock... so perhaps it's not even worth wondering about it. Hah!

Since NO new semi-auto pistols will be available in CA (thanks micro-stamping) why even worry about it?

You will have a much easier, and probably cheaper, option of just finding somebody selling their G17 slide and buy that, then have a shop mill the top so you can fit a RMR on to it. Or if you want to save more money, cut you existing slide.

Glock has stated that they will not sell their MOS mounting kit separately, at least not at this time. I have seen some people selling their MOS uppers right now with the mounting kit still in the packaging, but they're asking almost the same price as what you can buy the gun for brand new.

A few companies sell Glock compatible aftermarket slides. I would just buy one of them and have a gunsmith machine an optics mount into it.

I highly doubt that they would come with suppressor sights seeing as how Glock usually installs plastic garbage sights on the non-MOS pistols.
