    Boot gun choice?

So I'm bored right now, and wanted to know what y'all would choose out of these three as a back up to a back up pipsqueak gun?

    So we have..

Cobra derringer. Biggest caliber of the group, smallest round count. Two shots of .38 Special and hope to God you hit whatever you're aiming at.

NAA Mini Revolver. Middle of the road here with 5 shots of .22 Magnum, Surprising accurate for having basically no sights and such a short barrel.

Dickson Detective. Umm...yeah....25ACP......7 shots, and makes a nice little crack when you shoot it, but I don't know about trusting my life to this thing.

So there are the options to have once your revolver/semi auto runs out of ammo and your backup runs out of ammo. Which would you have?

I'd go with the one with the most round count.

If I could choose outside of the three mentioned, I'd go with a Beretta Tomcat

Derringer is just too slow. Pick whichever of the other two you prefer.

In my case it it would be choice of the NAA Black Widow or the Baby Browning. After some consideration I decided, if it ever came down to one of the other, it would be the .25 auto
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I'd go with the 25 ACP. I have a 25 and a O/U derringer. I'm a descent shot and fast with a 25, but I'm not very good with the derringer.

I have never shot a mini revolver. They look fun, but fewer shots than the 25, and probably slower.

Here are my little guys: Beretta Jetfire 950, Sig P238 and Davis derringer in 32 ACP.

a back up to a back up pipsqueak gun
Is this the third gun you are carrying? Then I would go for the lightest one. I have a little experience with the mini revolver, and they make some accessories for it, which might make it more desirable. My fav is the belt buckle, but I don't know if it works for the 22mag. Here's what I am talking about:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAtt90LlH_0

When i move out of Kalifornia, I will buy one.

He did say its going in his boot. I'd go for that 22 mag revolver. It's the smallest, and I'd rather have 5 shots of 22 mag over 7 shots of 25ACP any day. 38 special would be great if you could hit anything with that recoil.

For a boot I'd choose the NAA revolver.

Can I just buy bigger boots?

I think I'd go mini revolver and hope that's enough

.25 is under rated. I trust my life with my jetfire I can hit want I aim at and I don't care who you are if you take a .25 to the chest the fight is over.

I'd go with the 25. If things have gone so pear-shaped that you're into last ditch territory, your fine motor skills have already left town. The auto is going to be the easiest thing to get a grip on and operate in a hurry. The tiny round grips, tiny triggers, and single action of the derringer and revolver are going to be a huge liability. I can also see those exposed hammers becoming a snagging hazard under stress.

Agreed. Needing to cock back a hammer is going to be a major disadvantage. Though I'd pick a 38 or micro 380 if I had a choice.

I'd sell them all and pick up something small in a .32, like a Tomcat or Seecamp.

Well guys I was just curious to what everyone thought, the only one of these I've ever carried was the NAA since I have a nice little holster for it, usually it can ride in my boot or pocket very unnoticable. The .38 is fun, but not very practical, usually its aim at the waist and you can make a head shot, and the only reason I have that .25 around is because it was my grandma's purse gun for many years and since she's passed its now mine, its closer to being a wall hanger than a shooter.

These are just fun little toys I like for the hell of it, otherwise I'm sticking to my .357s and .45s

The Jetfire gets my vote. Tiny, lots of bullets, and reliable.
