    RIA 1911 9mm Magazine

Can anyone tell me what brand of magazine works for a RIA 1911 9mm? I can't seem to find any OEM magazines from Armscor so I'm trying to purchase other brands that are compatible.

    Thanks in advance!

I believe the stock one that came with my RIA is a Metalform. Just an FYI, as I've gotten more use out of it, it has become my least reliable mag. I have a bunch of MecGar mags that work really well. I plan on replacing them with the Cobra mags shown above.

My opinion is the Tripp Cobra mags are the finest money can buy. They are also some of the most expensive. I bite the bullet and always buy them.

The Tripp Hybrid rebuild kits work wonders on balky older other brand magazines as well. If you have another brand that is giving you problems, before you replace it, try a Tripp Hybrid rebuild kit on it.

            Wilson ETMs work well also.

I bought 3 x Wilson ETMs for my RIA 9mm. They work well enough. I have feed issues with the OEM one (Metalform).

Never had a problem with cobra mags or the checkmate mag it came with.

Mine is a .38 super that I dropped a factory 9mm barrel into. I use mec gar, colt, kimber, and WC ETMs. All have worked flawlessly

I've never had a Mec-Gar fail to satisfy for any handgun. I have two of their 9mm magazines for my RIA.

Tripp Wilson Mec-Gar ... pretty much in that order.
