    Early Glock 26, unique?

So i bought an early 1996(I think) Glock26 "Gen 2.5". Just like a gen 3 but smooth between the finger grooves instead of checkered.

I know these aren't particularly rare or valuable, but is there a reason I can't/shouldn't customize it just because it's not a "real" gen 3? Undercut the trigger guard, duracoat, maybe a little stipple on front of grip, anything like that.

Don't know if I will do anything permanent anyways(hard to undo ), like stipple vs just stick on grip enhancers, but wanted to check if it would be blasphemous.
The actual value of above $.02 is less than $.01 after taxes.

Cerakote if you want, don't stipple. It's not because of rarity, it's a gen 2 more than likely, but just don't do it :-/ Buy talon grips or grip tape and cut your own.

Trade someone for a gen three if you want to customize!

being a fan of the early variants of the Glock handgun in factory original configuration, i wouldn't make any permanent modifications. if i couldn't live with the G26 as is, i'd sell/trade it and pick up something that could better meet my needs.

Like I said, most likely I won't do anything major/permanent anyway, but some extra encouragement to not do something stupid is nice .

I kinda like that it's early too, a little different than the rest.

a few years ago i replaced the early G26 that i sold many years ago with a Gen 3 G26. i still want to pick up an early G26 at some point in time, just because.
