    my first 1911

    The wife went with me to turners today. She saw a 1911 she liked and convinced me to buy it.

    Kimber eclipse target 2.

    I cant find very many youtube reviews, Since its my first 1911 and i bought it on a whim i wanted to see what i got myself into. Any thoughts ?

    Congrats on a new pistol.

    As to your question Google "Kimber problems" and/or check a few of the recent threads on here.

    The fanbois will be along shortly to dispute I'm sure.

          Congrats, it's a nice weapon.
          Protect the frame when installing the slide lock until you get the hang of it.

                    Do not depress the grip safety when removing the slide. It's covered in the owners manual which I suggest reading thoroughly.

                      Congrats! You will love 1911s and this is the first of many. I'am up to 9 now. Bought some, sold some. Reload for .45ACP just because I shoot more.

                      Yeah, and that includes 3 ex-wives......

                        Congrats............love the 1911, but only have one kimber. the only issue we had was the magazines. Switched them out and it is flawless

                            This, and if you have malfunctions check the extractor tension (mine was way tight from the factory).
