Does anyone have any experience with these?

Snub nose, 8 shot, 357.

The only downside is maybe a loss of velocity because of such a short barrel.

Plus! It's on the ca doj roster so no sae is needed.

Gun Tests magazine did some velocity checks on this one five or six years ago.
The ultra-short barrel really limited the .357s performance.
I don't remember the 125g velocity, but it was surprisingly low.
It wasn't much more than a 125g .38+P in a standard J frame.
IIRC, a Buffalo Bore .38+P "heavy load" with a 158g bullet had more energy.

Otherwise this is a neat gun, but it really needs at least another inch or so of barrel to have a better chance of taking advantage of the slower .357 powder burn rates.

Yeah I figured. From what ive read accuracy is still pretty good and most people are surprised at the very manageable recoil.

OAL is too short, so this would not be able to be SAE'd

8 shot will also mean the cylinder is fairly wide compared to the typical 5-6 shot compact models

Definitely. Just shooting a box of 357s out of a Ruger LCR was enough to make my hand ache for a couple days.

Really crazy when he puts those buffalo bored in, you can really notice the difference in the charge and recoil.
