    Smith Wesson model 66-1

Well guys. I got the good fortune of buying a S&W Model 66-1 with 4 in barrel from a fellow calgunner 10 days ago! In two hours I can go pick it up and I am very excited. I will post pictures in a few hours and if I have time a range report. I can't wait. I've had sellers remorse since I sold my Model 19 2 years ago and when I saw this Model 66-1 on here locally I jumped on it!

Awesome! Can't wait to see pics! I love my Model 66 no dash with the 2.5-in barrel, and still have a few days left til I pick up my 19-3.

It's a good thing that sale was out of my area otherwise I'd have been all over that. Those are amazing revolvers. If you ever get tired of it, 'cause, you know, just sayin

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

        Classic American revolver!!
        Nice find

What is your favorite load for .38 & .357?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
        (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

              For .38 I like the 125gr Golden Saber in .38 + P.

Ok guys. Picked up the revolver today and took it for a spin! Gun is very accurate and I only fired it today in double action at 7 yards. Fired 60 rounds total. The trigger is not bad at all in double action.

Nice gun, now it just needs some wood stocks to look a little more sexy

Very very nice! Only thing I would do now is replace the Hogues with S&W target stocks, bringing it back to it's original look.

I picked up a 66, but it has some damage from prior owner stupidity. Someday I will replace it with one in a nicer condition. Have a blue 19 and nickel 19 as well, all pinned and recessed. It just has the right everything for me in what a handy DA revolver is in my mind. gotta catch em all.

Just a heads up, it isn't recommended to shoot the hot 125gr 357 out of a model 19 or model 66. They say to stick with the heavier 147gr or so if you are going to shoot 357 in the smaller K frames. A little wont hurt I'm sure, but I wouldn't be shooting it all the time as the forcing cone can be damaged.
