Congratulations and welcome to the family!

Don't worry about not operating it well in the store. I know for me first time buyers are the reason I love this business. You guys keep me excited and willing to trudge through the federal and state headaches just to see that excited look on your face.
You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.

Picked up the 1911 from Rifle Gear today. This thing is awesome! I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Make sure you clean the firing pin channel. Mine had grease inside when new and that gave me light premier strike.

Give her a nice clean up and the mil spec shoots really great. My only complaint is the hammer bite.

                      FYI

Its the start of an abusive relationship ... your wallet will take a severe beating as more 1911s start coming home with you , your wallet wont like that you take them to the range.

Congrats OP, I'm sure this is just the first of many 1911s to come, in less than a year I've bought four of them. Try a 9mm one next...fun guns.

                            Congrats!

Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...

Took apart the 1911 for the first time today. Much different than my Sigma 9mm that's for sure. Hardest part was getting the slide stop back on. Had to use a small key I had to push that plunger thing in. That allowed me to push the slide stop back in. No idiot scratch.

Nice! You will get the hang of it. There is really nothing to it.
