    P226 Scorpion

**UPDATE WITH RANGE REPORT POST 21**

I just picked up a big brother for my SP2022, a P226 Scorpion. Now I can't wait to go try it out.
I have always wanted a P226 but was never sure of what model and for some reason the scorpion stood out to me as far as the looks go. Also the selling points were the beaver tail, and it includes the SRT.

As I have said before I normally don't like guns that are not traditional colors.
I like handguns black, revolvers stainless, and rifles black or black/wood.
The scorpion just looks awesome, I think its the color combo of the FDE and the grips but I just had to have one...

I will add a range report to this thread once I get to a range in a few weeks.

A shot with the LCI up using snap caps (not as bad as I thought it would be)

Does this have a mag disconnect? Great gun, btw. It would be my next purchase if it has no mag dis.

This appears to be, judging by that orange LCI, the CA rostered version which does include a mag disconnect.

I love the feel of the P226 Scorpion especially with the G10 grips and the beavertail, but I share OmegaTrader's view I'd prefer to have one without the extra CA "safety features."

It does have the mag disconnect. I don't like the CA features but at the same time, they don't bother me much.

Congrats man! I want a P226 so bad. Can you post a picture of the pistol from the front? Can you show us what the LCI looks like if we were starring you pointing the gun at us?

In other words, what would the bad guy see? lol

Awesome gun! Great shooter too. You will not be unhappy with this purchase.
I have one myself. The non-CA version that is.

I took one of it this morning but didn't post it because it didn't come out so good. I can take another one tomorrow morning. I was curious of this as well... It's a lot harder to notice than I thought it would be, maybe because of the color of the gun or maybe its the background color in my picture.

I used too have the same exact gun. It was a great shooter and I loved the SRT. You can't see the LCI when aiming and the billboard warning text.is much less noticeable than on the black guns. I did swap out.the locking insert to get rid of the mag disconnect, really easy and fairly inexpensive. In the end, I could never get over the LCI so I sold it but I will have another 226 someday. Enjoy OP, it is really a great gun!

Beautiful, and a great choice. Congrats! I have a Sig P226 Navy Mk2, and a P229. They are excellent pistols.
