    CZ 97B or SP-01?

Hey all. I'm looking for my next non-1911 and am considering the CZ 97B or the SP-01. Any recommendations? My 3rd choice would be the Sig P220 because of the higher price.

    2 of them are 45 caliber; 1 is a 9mm.

Very personal choice. I like the SP01 enough to own 2. It fits me very well. The trigger could use some cleaning up, as with all CZs. The CZ97 is a bit too large for my taste. The Sig220 grip is not shaped for my hands.

For a Non 1911 Platform I am guessing would be 45 as well, I would say spend the extra $$ and get the p220 you will NOT be disappointed!

CZ 97 b is an excellent pistol. It has a very large grip and a long reach on the DA pull. SA very acccomodating though. They say you need large hands to enjoy this pistol - but I'll qualify that by saying not only is a large palm important but also long fingers. I have the large palm but not so long fingers, it is a bit of a reach for me in DA.

I do believe it is the most accurate pistol I own, though.

Most CZ's do benefit from an action job. Don't get sold on just a "trigger job" because the CZ action is too complex for that to be more than a little help. I send mine to Jim Miossi at Miossi Gun Works. His work is top notch.

The only problem I've ran into with a CZ97 is holsters. It seems that if you want an exact leather fit you'll have to have it custom made. None of the big holster makers list anything for it. I don't want just a generic because I feel it's going to wear the finish quicker. Other than that, it's one fine pistol.

Thanks for the input. I'm not too worried about the grip size--my hands aren't that small. =) I have seen some replacement aluminum grips on czcustom.com and will probably grab those.

How much do trigger work cost, ballpark?
