    Cammer technologies

For you 1911 owners. A guy from auburn help patent this. Its seems so simple and I guess that's all it takes just shaving some metal.
I read this in the auburn journal

Here is the news article: http://www.auburnjournal.com/article...tion-invention

The inspiration came on a Sierra camping trip.

And the result – a small part that makes using one of the world’s most popular handguns easier to use – is a patent, product and business partnership for an Auburn area resident and his longtime friend from Oregon.
and the gist of the product:

“John Browning did an incredible job but there was one fault – it’s always been difficult to rack the slide,” Corkrean said.

The two decided to work on the hammer, taking some of the thickness out and reshaping it to allow an easier slide.
Here is a little more tech info in American Handgunner talking about the modified cam action, and a quick product review http://www.cammertechnologies.com/im...er_Article.pdf

Pretty cool idea but a bit steep at $106 including shipping.
