    Colt Mustang

Just picking your brains to see what Colt Mustangs are going for nowadays. I have'nt seen too many of these out on the market because of the darn DOJ list. Is there a high collectibility for these little guns and what would be the price ranges for them at 98% or better condition?

    Thanks in advance.

$350-$450 with original box and paperwork. Maybe $500 if you waited around for the right buyer.

Funny you should ask, when I was in the redwoods 2 weeks ago on business I stopped in a gun store in Rio Dell (south of Fortuna). They had alot of nice stuff on consignment (PPT) and in fact had a Colt Mustang 380. Didn't have the pricing set just then but did call me back the following day with a price of $500.00.
        Needless to say, I passed..........

If you want an un-listed gun in CA, and want it bad, you have to pay whatever the asking price is. Any Colt pocketlike (380) I've seen in the last 1.5 years has gone for $500 or more.
Think of it this way, it's a better made gun than a Kel Tec .380 which will (easily) sell for $600+ since it's unobtainable.

BigMac at Irvington Arms has one on consignment. I'm pretty sure that it is just the Mustang in Bright Stainless. Pretty gun. Price is somewhere around $500.

              Mustang

They are going for at least $500.00 and climbing. If you can find one in any condition for less than $400 buy it. I just got my mustang back from the gunsmith after 2 years. It looks great. Scott Macdougal and Associates did it but I heard the main gunsmith died while I was in Iraq and his apprentece had to finish it up and it fell through the cracks till I came home. Either way I cant wait to shoot it.

It's the lightest kicking .380 around. My 12oz pocketlite kicks less than my Walther PPK/s at double the weight- it's all in the recoil operation

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I am in the market for one and I saw one for 525 in a two tone. I think I'm gonna pick it up.

These Colts are getting pretty elusive in California. Thanks a lot DOJ.

Hey JD, did you see any other Colts wheel guns in there?

Mustang's not a wheel gun (but I'm sure you know that). There were a couple of older DA revolvers. I frame IIRC, maybe smaller. Colt revos aren't really my thing. Besides the Python and other assorted snakes I'm a Smith guy.

I sold one to someone on this thread a while ago...

Easily the easiest .380 to shoot, the most accurate .380 I've shot (P232 is 2nd) and the coolest looking .380 IMO.

If you can find one, go for it. I loved the one I had, just wished ammo didn't cost as much as .45s. Gotta have priorities...
