    Rail-mounted compensator for Glock

Surprised that no one [to my knowledge] makes one. Seems like it could work out similarly to how the USP Match has its compensator mounted. Make one for the 17/17L/34 and maybe one for the 19 if it becomes popular. It would help those of us who want a compensator for whatever reason but don't want to permanently attach something to our barrels that disallows us from taking our guns apart. Make it out of aluminum, anodize it black, and charge $75-100 for it. Maybe even integrate another rail onto the bottom so that you can still run a tac light or laser if you so choose.

If I had a 3D printer I would prototype one, but alas...

Interesting idea, I think its because its a glock. Those who wanted a comp got the 17c 19c 22c 23c etc. Since they are discontinued I think there's a market for a rail mounted compensator

Well adding a compensator to the end of a regular length pistol can also help mitigate muzzle rise by acting as a weight, so it's still more effective than a regular "C" model.

Maybe I'll try to find someone with a 3D printer and see what I can make.

I think they are dumb but if its an aftermarket part for a glock it doesn't have to make sense to make money right?

I don't see the point in 9mm unless you are shooting Major or hot loads.

Then why would any race gun have a compensator? 99% of custom race guns are 9mm as far as I know, and they almost always have compensators. In terms of making sure that the gun fires as flat as possible and has very low muzzle rise, a compensator can help regardless of caliber.

I fired a 19c and while I didn't notice any real difference in recoil/muzzle rise I was astonished at the accuracy. Probably more to do with the worked trigger and U shaped rear sight but still...

Maybe I'm missing something, and probably am, but why would you want the ports facing down?

That's a great question. I don't know but there might also be ports on the top.

I don't believe those are ports - merely weight (shifting) cuts in the metal.

                      Not ported/compensated in my book.

I think it will do little to no change.
The added weight may make it perceive to work. Just add a long tactical light, I think the perception will be the same, which is taking money out of everyone's wallet.

A rail mounted compensator will probably not work as well as a thread mounted one. The frame flexes too much. I'm not sure what type of problems it will cause.

What he said. I can move the laser on my TLR2 side to side about three feet on my living room wall without loosening the mount.

It's not that big of a living room either.

If you just want to add weight try a tungsten guide rod and a TLR or light you want.

Because most are scoring Major and firing really hot loads to make power factor. Lot more to compensate for. Shooting minor not sure it makes that much difference. When I shoot my Czechmate and regular reloads in Steel Challenge I do it without the comp. hardly any flip, very flat.
Cycles my regular reloads or factory better too without it..
