Sig Sauer SP2022 magazine disconnect safety question

Do all new Sig SP2022s have magazine disconnect safeties? If so, can these magazine disconnect safeties be removed? If yes, how?

The SP2022 has been on-roster & unchanged since prior to LCI & mag disconnect requirements. Any one you get, anywhere in CA will not have those "safety" features

I've seen them at Riflegear with LCI, maybe I'll shop around and see if I can find one without LCI.

The LCI on the 2022 is on the 9mm only. It was a requirement for the french police contract. Sig makes them now with and without the LCI. Personally I wouldn't mind one with the LCI because it was originally designed for it.

The only ones that I have seen recently (within the last year) with the LCI have been the two tone $399 specials. the vast majority of 9mm 2022's do NOT have it.

Did you see it in person or online? The SP2022 that I have seen in stores do not have the LCI or mag disconnect. Also, my SP2022 does not have LCI or mag disconnect. I bought mine at Turners last May 2014.

If for whatever reason you did get one with an LCI you can rest easy knowing it's not as egregious as the LCI on the P226 and P229.

Yes, some have them, some don't. (most don't). They are not the CA compliant LCIs. Getting one is the luck of the draw unless you inspect it first. None have mag safeties.

Mine has no LCI, and has an internal extractor.

This has been my experience as well. Internal or external extractor still varies a bit as does whether it comes with the thick or thin trigger. Maybe it's because of all the contract runs but this gun comes in a pretty wide variety of configurations.

I bought my 9mm from Reeds in sept 2014, it has lci but no mag safety. The lci doesn't bother me at all
