Reducing the Grip on Sig P220 SAO

Are there any after market options that will reduce the grip on a Sig P220 SAO? I'm not sure if the E2 grip can be altered to fit but has anybody tried or knows enough about the internals to say yes or no? I really like the gun and with a small grip it will take over my Les Baer TRS as my go to 45.

I have never seen the P220 slim grips offered for the SA only, I know hogue makes aftermarket grips for them, but not the slims that I have seen anyway.

The grips on the SA only seem thicker then the regular 220, so the hogues my be thinner then the stock Sig grips. Mine came with the nice rosewood grips, but yes they are thick, my hands are on the bigger side and I notice how thick they feel.

Mine is not a working gun and I don't shoot it often, only Sig I still own. But slightly thinner grips would be a good thing.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

The Hogue G10 and aluminum grips are much thinner than stock plastic grips, at least for the P226. They are much stronger so they can be made a lot thinner. It made a big difference for me and others report the same thing.

Hogue doesn't make aluminum for the P220 but others might. Check out their G10 though http://www.hogueinc.com/store/catego...series-g10/749

You can also get them with Sig logo from the Sig Store. Good time to use the 20% off code if you have one. http://store.sigsauer.com/parts/grip...?gun_model=108

Sig also has the E2 conversion for P220 http://store.sigsauer.com/grip-upgra...ool-da-sa.html

      And aluminum but spendy http://store.sigsauer.com/grip-set-a...lite-dark.html

I'm gonna try the hogue G10 grips before buying E2 and forcing them on the SAO. Thanks for the tip guys.

          JackRydden224,

I replaced the rosewood grips on my P220 SAO with the Hogue Checkered American G10 G-Mascus Green. They are definitely thinner than the factory wood grips. They also provide better grip for me . I really like them.

Great! Amazon also has the checkered Black version available so I will be buying that later. I really like my P220 the trigger is a bit heavy at 6# but there is very little take up and the break is clean.
