    EBay or gunpartscorp.com

Yes it is pre lock, with pin on the hammer. Checked the site above and found narrow, and mid width in stainless. No target though. So I think I'll order one of the mid, and spend another week or so looking for a target, and if not just put in the mid.

What is the barrel length of the Model 65? The "Target" hammer is usually not paired up with this style of revolver. Fixed sights are a concealed carry design. A "Target" trigger is not. Big, wide, platforms for your thumb are generally not ideal for this revolver. The hammer in general is not just a "drop in" part. It needs to be fitted and checked for timing, sear engagement (no push off) and side plate clearance. BTW...congrats on a beautiful carry, and classic S&W! c good

It's a 3". Has the bobbed hammer now. I believe it was originally a detectives sidearm. It was bought years ago for my mom, and since her death, has come to me. I don't plan on using it for a carry weapon as I'm in alameda county, and I have others that would be tasked for that use. I would just like a spurred hammer, so I can use it as a sa also. I like the target hammer because of its size, and ease of cocking.

The last time I went looking for a spurred hammer for a Smith, eBay was the only place I could find one.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

As stated, hammer probably will need fitting. At minimum, you will need to swap over the DA sear from old hammer to new.

Call and tell them you need a K frame old style hammer.
