    Cz75 sp01 impulse buy!

So I went to sportsmans warehouse looking for some .22lr and ended up getting a cz75 sp01. But hey haven't we all been there? Anyway to all you cz owners have you encountered any problems, do you have any praise, any tips for a new cz owner for me to ponder while I wait 10 agonizing days? I really can't wait to shoot this thing. I've heard it's one of the softest shooting 9mm's out there. I know I know, grow a pair huh? I just want a fun range/home defense pistol.

All of my CZ's have been good to go out of the box. There are a few owners who weren't very satisfied with the quality of finish. The DA may take some time getting used to and the SA will be a joy. Break it in with about 500rds to to see how you like it and at that point you can decide to do modifications. In the mean time stock up on a lot of ammo cause you're going to be shooting the SP-01 a lot

The main gripe about CZs is usually their triggers, but YMMV. If you do want some trigger work, check out Cajun Gun Works.

I don't own one bit i always heard they had awesome triggers. Then again, a lot of people seem to do trigger jobs.

IMO, they need trigger work. The extra caming in the hammer adds a "stagey" feeling to it.

            Great guns either way though.

I have one. Nice gun, but unless you are going to run it in competition, I think the whole "factory trigger sucks" is bunk. They are perfectly fine as is for range and HD use.

Heavy sucker. Almost too much so for a 9mm, since the caliber doesn't have any real need for recoil mitigation. But a pretty good pistol nonetheless.

The stock trigger in both of my recently purchased SP01's were simply awful.

Super long and heavy DA pull that is filled with creep with a side of grit.

As is the case with all of my CZ's, polishing and deburring was needed.

You can spend the 10 day waiting period to figure out how much you want to mod the gun. I tend to like my Double Action pistols to have sub 5 pound triggers with short resets myself.

Your very lucky to find one. Most people wait forever and never see them in the lgs

I don't have the SP-01 but I do have a p-01. love it, handles great. da trigger is pretty long but I don't mind it too much. eats every ammo I've put through it too.

You should be stocking up on 9mm ammo. You are about to go through a lot of it.

I am shocked you found one at Sportsman's Warehouse, ours never orders CZ.
