Still shooting a bit better with PPQ

Looks like I am still shooting slightly better with the Walther PPQ, compared to the HK VP9 (although the difference is shrinking). 50 rounds in each target, one stuck cartridge after failed ejection on the VP9, but just smooth sailing with the PPQ. The ammo was brass reloads from the range.

I think it is the slight difference in the trigger that does it so far. I have recently installed the Trijicon HD (orange front) on the PPQ, which I really like, but to even things out a bit, I shot both these guns exclusively with my left hand instead of the usual right.

Those are some nice off hand groups, assuming you aren't ambidextrous!

The trigger on the VP9 will assure it will always be less accurate than the PPQ.

        10 is a 10, good job!

Can you add a BT guide rod to your PPQ , I keep on hearing good things about them. $64 for a stick of metal .

Well the distance was just over 7 meters, so it wasn't too hard, but it was equal for both pistols with the same effort to be accurate, and the PPQ won once again.

I discovered during this exercise that I actually prefer shooting with my left, maybe because I am left eye dominant, and was forced to switch from writing with my left to the right as a kid. I learned from scratch to shoot right sided, because that is how they taught us, both with rifles, AKs, and handguns.
Have some work ahead of me if I decide to switch... LOL

            nice shooting OP.

I prefer the PPQ too, that's why I have 2 of them, and why I sold my VP9

Congratulations! Please post your range reports regarding these guns as well. It will be interesting to hear what your experience is.

The VP9 has some nice features, but I love the PPQ. I've installed blackout rear/fiber optic front sites from Dawson Precision and absolutely love them. Kind of tempted to pick up the 5" M2 as well.

I have an occasional "non-locking slide issue" with the VP9, but have so far not had this happen with the PPQ. It sounds like you have a PPQ M2, and owners with this mag drop issue buy a slightly stiffer spring for the mag release button to omit that problem. You have however most likely heard this before.

Personally I really like the paddle mag releases, both from the point of ease of use, but also since it makes the pistol ambidextrous.

Ppq is a great gun. As you get comfortable at 7 yards rounds will be tiiiny
