    Hi-Point 9 mags

Anybody who actually owns a Hi-Point ever had issues with factory mags? I recently bought two and Im wondering if Hi-Point mags are better or worse than Promags. Normally that wouldn't even be a question but this is hi-point were talking about here.

Ill admit I haven't shot them yet. I never shoot a new guns til I have a few extra mags

I have an 8 round magazine that came with my C9 and a 10 round mag I picked up later. Never had an issue with either. I've only put maybe 200 rounds through the C9, though, so we'll see...

My factory mag works flawlessly, but the 10 round 995 carbine mags required a little tweaking (bend lips and stabilize mag in magwell by adding a DIY sleeve.) check out http://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/ for help.

Haven't bought any mags for mine in a few years. They were hit or miss, but fixable (the highpoint forums is a good resource). Never had any pro mags for it.

I was the second owner of a c9 for a while and I didn't have any problems with the 8 or 10 round mags I had. I'm hoping the same will be true with the hi point 40sw my dad is sending me.

I have 4 factory mags for my .45 carbine (same mags as the pistol takes) and they all work fine.

Yea, send it in and they'll send it back with a free mag, at least that's what I've heard.

I have 1 that came with my 9mm carbine, works great for me

the hp mags work fine as do the promags. the hp ones are rust buckets just like the carbine itself though. so keep it oiled.

                        I have a C9 with two 8 rnd and a 995TS with two 10 rnd mags.
I did the thing where you keep them loaded for two weeks before first firing and have had no issues.
I have two Promag 10 rnd and they will not function in either, they sit too high and block the slide/bolt. They can't even be inserted and locked when fully loaded.
