Wow, I was hoping for the best for you, but was expecting the worse. Glad to hear LAX stepped up to the plate and make good on their end. Glad you still have all your fingers too!

I've had a squib from LAX get stuck in the barrel of my Kahr CW9, luckily I noticed that the recoil and report didn't feel right and didn't fire another round. I had to pound the bullet out with a screw driver. I took a picture and the bullet back to LAX's booth at the next gunshow. The guy I told seemd a little surprised but not very interested. That was the only actual problem I experienced, but have noted inconsistencies in there quality. The difference in power between shots has caused me to stop shooting and disassemble my guns on a couple of occasions because of the fear of another squib. Good to know they are stepping up to take care of you though.

How effective would it be to weigh every round?

Wouldn't take long w/ a good electronic chemistry scale.

What kind of variability could be expected?

At 15.432 grains/gram, shouldn't a squib of double load be noticable?

Short answer...it depends on the powder.

It also depends on the brass... not all brass weighs the same...

Not very effective, I've tried this before and found that the brass varies enough in weight to not work out well.

Like I caught a case with a light charge before because my hopper ran low so I grabbed the top layer of bullets, weighed each one and found a few that were noticeably lighter, but after pulling them, they had the correct amount of powder in the case.
