FYI, it is a bit late to inquire about this.

In the past, they could be modified into a dimensionally compliant single-shot pistol and transferred as such.

However, on 01-01-2015, the single-shot pistol exemption was changed it now only applies to dimensionally compliant break-top/open single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and does not apply to any pistol that was ever semi-auto. [PC 32100(b)]

Since the POF/FEDARM POF-5 is manufactured as a semi-auto pistol, it can no longer be modified to meet the current single-shot pistol exemption.

Therefore, you will need to find one already in CA and acquire it via PPT.

I shipped a few into CA last year. I doubt the owners would PPT.

LEO = exempt from CA unsafe handgun laws
LEO = not exempt from CA assault weapons laws

Therefore...
Prior to being shipped to CA, it needs a maglock + 10 round magazine installed onto it.
