Thanks that is informative. Could you post some side views? -

OP, which is your favorite? Looks to me like the Dawson has the smallest outside profile, but also the largest inner ramped area (except for the SJC which is a little overkill IMO). Until seeing these pics I would have probably gone with the Zev. Do they all work well with Arredondos and/or TTI basepads?Comment

i'm sorry, but there's no magwell for the 26/27 that i'm aware of. it's kind of hard to design/make a magwell for these subcompacts because of the very short grip. also, the grip doesn't have a lanyard hole for the magwell attachment screw.
i believe the closest thing to a magwell for the 26/27 is an extended grip plug. it's what i have on my gen 3 27. if i remember correctly, it's from scherer.

yes, size for size, dawson has the biggest opening. all these magwells are designed to work with the most popular magbases. i've seen a very few that required to be slightly (so very slightly) modified to fit arredondos and TTIs perfectly. i believe it has more to do with the different brands' (magwells and magbases) manufacturing tolerances.OP, which is your favorite? my favorite is the SJC.
i like its huge size. and i really like how my 17L looks with the SJC on it.
