Spend more and get a 5" Walter PPQ M2.

Then buy the mags for the canik if you live in TX...

Not a SP01 clone. Canik makes a line of CZ clone guns but the TP9SA is a Walther PPQ clone as Keenkeen alludes to. Canik makes a variety of CZ75 clones including the Shark which, I believe, is a clone of the SP01 http://www.canik55.com/pages_sub.php...2&module_id=14 .

The Caniks get many good reviews on the internet and are considered by many as good values similar to what CZ was years ago before they were discovered. Caniks are also imported by Tristar so be sure to search for both brands, not just CAI.
Check back later for a witty comment.

You're not going to find many owners of that pistol in CA. It got released around the SSE frenzy and most people did not have that gun on their radar.

Since that gun was released, there has only been one put up for sale in the marketplace ever.

Mine comes out of jail at the end of the month.

The TP9SA is a stupidly designed gun. It is single action yet has a decocker. It makes absolutely no sense. Just stick with the original Canik TP9 double action.

Yes it is dumb, but it supposedly has an amazing trigger for it's price.

meh. Until they get rid of the pointless decocking feature the gun's trigger doesnt matter. Im sure someone will be able to disable the thing.

                  LOL...

                  You don't have either right?

So how are you going to "stick with" the TP9?

Have you shot them? If so, how do you think the sights and triggers on the two models compared?

I have a feeling they left the feature, so people can disasemble the gun without pulling the trigger. I really think it's a none factor, will not keep me from picking one up at some point.
Canik makes a good inexpensive product, I for one like that they are in the game and paying attention to the customer and trying to make better guns.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Ive fired and handled the original TP9. Its supposedly modeled after the walther but it still felt very Glock like to me cept without the blockiness of a glock. Never fired the tp9sa since it came out shortly before sse ended And few people got one.

dont be facetious. Why are you in favor of pointless and potentially life threatening features on your gun? One slip during a press check and you disabled your defensive gun. this gun is marketed as a defensive gun yet has a feature that could completely disabled the function of the gun with one accidentally press. Ever heard of the K.I.S.S. principle?

If you had handled on you would know that the decocker button has a very positive engagement and a loud clicking sound as an indication that it has been activated. It is not something that would happen by "one slip during a press check" and go unnoticed, on the very remote chance you did activate it simply correct the condition and go about your business.
