Price isn't unreasonable. Seller often paid msrp last year. Add SSE fee, tax, DROS, seller aren't making much.

When you buy a ppt. You are saving SSE and sales tax. Keep that in mind.

        And to answer the OP

Less supply plus more demand which inflates price..

Oh, and the buyer determine what a fair price is .. Not the seller

          Basically "QQ"

Many of those guns were purchased thru SSE which means the Sellers costs to bring the weapon to California were higher. Many of them would not even be available now if the sellers had not shelled out the extra cash to get them here.

Bottom line. If you want it buy it, if you can find it cheaper in California great, if not the price you see is the price you see.

The days of getting bargains on handguns in California are pretty much gone.

If the California Politicians have their way the days of not being able to get any guns in CA is near. Roster is almost empty now.

          Sorry just how it is.

bellwilliam...Thanks. I had not considered the total cost of a users' purchase. I should have cited an example. In one case I saw a Gen4 G17, clearly off-roster, for $850.

              $850s a fair price.

If you completed a PPT with another Cal Gunner, be sure and exchange itrader ratings. Very important.

People should have bought prior to the handguns being off list. Like years ago.
Let the whiners go to Washington DC or NYC and buy handguns. I was buying when the recycler had 100 firearms every thursday for sale cash & carry.

BlK Lantern...who said I could not afford something? you clearly didn't read, fully, what I wrote. This has NOTHING to do with my financial means. It was an observation and intellectual curiosity.

I feel like this is the same as people complaining that a 1966 GTO convertible is not priced the same as it was when it was on the showroom floor. You can't buy it from a dealer new any longer. So the price is up. Or ask why a Colt Python isn't $350......
