    Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger?

So like everyone else, I own a M&P 9mm and love the gun but the trigger sucks.
I tried the Apex Poly trigger a few months back and didn't like it, and put the stock trigger back in with some spring changes. I was on the Apex website the other day and saw this new Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger. interesting. not much info on it from people who are using it though. Anyone out here have any insight? I am trying to set my m&p up for ESP class in IDPA. I just can't seem to find a trigger set up that I like. Anyone know anything about this trigger or have some feedback from using it? thanks

I got one in the mail this week and should be trying it out soon. I have two FSS kits installed for my M&P's and I liked the aluminum trigger better than the polymer as well. So I was going to swap that out when I saw the flat faced and thought I'd give it a try.

I am using one in my M&P. IMO it's a fantastic trigger. I primarily shoot 1911's and this trigger brings the M&P a little bit closer to what I am used to. The sear is engaged earlier in the trigger pull process to reduce pretravel, and there is a clean break with zero overtravel due to the trigger shoe's built in overtravel stop. Overall finger travel in the trigger pull is greatly reduced over stock.

What in particular did you not like about the poly apex? I've had the alumiminum triggers on two and since replaced them for Flat. I loved them before but I prefer the flat trigger a little more. Hard to explain but overall it when combined with the FSS is very 1911 like.

My brother has one, and it's pretty sweet. It has a super light pull and it breaks like glass, with no creep whatsoever.

I'd get one for my IDPA gun, but I want to stay in SSP.

Well, I should have an update about the trigger in a few days, it is due into my house tomorrow. so I should install it in the next day or two. (yes, I drank the Kool-Aid and will try APEX again hopefully with much better luck than last time) As I said in first post, tried the Apex poly trigger and just didn't like the feel of it, can't explain why. This is odd because it was close to my XD 45 trigger and that one is fine...once you get past the 6 miles of pre-travel (this will be next on the bench to change some parts out)

I do shoot a lot of 1911's and am spoiled by the trigger so I am hoping that this new trigger is a least close to what I like. thanks for the direction on the http://mp-pistol.com/mp-talk/ website. they have some good info and I never even thought to look there. I have a USPSA match coming up on Sat. sooo, I should have some solid info about this trigger after that...

Did you try the Poly trigger alone or with the FSS package? I did the full Monty and am loving it. Nice, crisp, 3lb 12oz break, very little take-up and short reset.

I'm thinking about getting one too, I already have the standard aluminum trigger/FSS kit on one, and it's not bad at all. Don't get me wrong, as others have stated, it's no 1911 trigger, but its much better than it was.
