Affordable alloy Frame Commander?

Hey Everyone,

I was dead set on purchasing a Para Expert Commander, until I noticed that it fell off of the CA Roster. Now I am in a bit of a conundrum.

Does anybody have any suggestions for an affordable (under $650) alloy frame, commander length 1911? I would like to buy a US-made gun as well.

What are the odds that I could find an Expert Commander on the used market?

Please give me any feedback you might have.

Look on the for sale threads here on Calguns or place a WTB post---don't be afraid of used guns---often they are shot only a little and can be gotten for reasonable prices...

Para is gone or going to be gone (absorbed to Remington 1911), so I would sway away from them.

Kimber has some 4" (not commander 4.25) aluminum/alloy frames, but it's going to be up there in the $850+.
