    Daisy "Red Ryder" Jammed?

I bought a Red Ryder for my son a couple of years ago, but he was too young for it. I put it in a case and haven't touched it since then.

This weekend I took it out, put a little oil in the appropriate hole, loaded it and fired about ten bb's. After the last shot I tried to cock it but there was no pressure, and it would not fire. Nothing I have done has worked.

Anyone know what I should be looking for to fix/repair it?

EDIT: Since it only cost $20, I smacked the butt on the ground a few times and dislodged whatever was causing the jam. Works just fine now.

The compass in the stock is jammed? Just shake it.

haa that reminds me i had a daisy when i was little but my dad said it was too dangerous so he unscrewed the front and took the barrel off so i could still use it as a pop gun

well i soon discovered it made a really cool AA battery mortar

I still have my Red Ryder that my dad gave me 21 years ago. Still shoots too! Sounds like they don't make em like they used to.

let me guess you were using hollow points?

your feed ramp needs to be polished.

send it back to the Red Rider custom shop.

get a skeletonized trigger and hammer, Premium barrel upgrade, all the sharp edges melted, don't forget the stippling & maybe get it cerakoted too.

(I wonder if it was the type of oil you put in....frog lube?)

                  ;-)
