    Military trainer air rifle?

So I just acquired what looks like it could be a military trainer air rifle. Break action , long barrel and what looks like a Mosin-Nagant hooded type front post sight. Has a graduated rear sight, similar to vintage military. No markings visible whatsoever that I can find so far. Stock has finger grooves and is rather rudimentary and not in the best of shape. Not a commercial finish on the metal, no shiny much of anywhere, except maybe the barrel has a smooth finish, but not really shiny.

Anybody know where I might find out about Mil trainer air rifles?

Sorry that I'm ignorant on using digital pictures and such, no pictures.

Thanks prob, you just about called it correctly. Turns out to be a Chinese B2 (.177). Appreciate your knowledge and help to identify with minimal describing.

        This may be of interest.

Sporter air rifles are characterized by their light weight, low cost and basic target features. We offer several varieties for purchase.

The Chinese have produced several air guns mistakenly labeled as "trainers," when in fact they were only ever destined for the export market.

An early sidelever cocking variant known as the TS45 bore a striking resemblance to the SKS:

This evolved into the EM45B that took on the the look of an AK47 and even came with a sidefolding stock that most agree were the same as used on the real Type 56 rifles:

Those then went through further iterations to become the B5 which was available until fairly recently:
