    Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup

Well, just received my Averngert Bullpup this morning, and I'm loving it. I put a small scope on it, bipod, and a DFL adapter and Ronin moderator on it, charged it up and then went out to the back yard and started plinking. Took me a few rounds to get the scope set up, but after that, the 20 yard grouping is a bit smaller than a 1/4" (basically they all touch). Need to take it out now and see how accurate it is at some distances that will allow me to actually measure the spread properly. All I can say, this isn't my old back yard daisy 10 pump bb gun . I wish I would have done this sooner.

Some things I like: Trigger is actually pretty good for a bull pup, it is accurate, and pretty lightweight for it's size. I need to figure out something else for the fill up though as currently I need to remove the moderator and adapter to get the airline on due to the airline filter. I might just look for an airline extension to solve that issue. Also wish the check weld was lower, as it definitely puts the scope up high.

I also set up my chronograph and decibel meter to see how it's preforming. I was pleasantly surprised at both the speed and the sound at 1m to the side of the muzzle. It's fast, and sending the 18gr pellets down range at just over 940fps. I haven't played around with the settings yet, and so this is factory settings. Sound with the moderator was in the 72-74 dB range, and was noticeably quieter to my ears than the impact that the pellets where making into the insulation foam backstop I made.

That there looks really nice. And it looks like you have a pretty nice kitchen, too.

I'm sure you already know but if you want to lower the regulator make sure you fully drain the air tube of pressure first.

And here is probably the most in depth tuning guide you will find for the Avenger. Its long but well worth the time.

Thats a nice looking rig. Good choice.

Tell your neighbors you just got a pneumatic nail gun and you're finally getting around to all those projects that have stacked up, shouldn't take you more than a few years to catch up. Spring for a Ryobi battery powered nailer and just go out once in a while in plain view and run some nails into a 4x4 to keep up the facade.

Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

Defense is a losing proposition when time is on the side of the opponent. In the history of humanity, no defense has ever won against an enemy with time on their side.

The reviews I've seen show the issue is more with the cheek rest being on the right side. If you want a pcp I would get the wood stock avenger or maybe one of the new Gamo Arrow when they come out. The Arrow has a center ambi style rear pull.

Update: I have now gone through over 2000 pellets so far (Diablo exacts and Barracuda both in 18.13gr.), and the thing is accurate, and hasn’t needed to be rebuilt yet. Not sure how long it will go before it will need repairs. The only issue I’m having is the cheek rest is a little too high even in the lowest position, so gets uncomfortable if sitting for more than minutes waiting for a target. I’ve been blasting little quarter sized mice at 30yards consistently (only 2 misses that were when I should have refilled and hit just low). If I was to do it again, would have gotten the regular Avenger instead of the bullpup just because of the cheek rest issue. I have a higher set of rings coming as well, but already the offer is pretty large, so I’ll be trading additional offset for comfort…
