BEST Airsoft 2011 type pistol?

I'm really into real raceguns but I stumbled onto an old Tanfoglio Gold Team airsoft YouTube video thinking it was real. Then I fell into the wormhole and got interested.

Ok, so who makes the best, most realistic, mostly metal - if not all metal Airsoft? I was looking at some Tokyo Marui Hicapa 5.1 Gold Match ones.

But I'm a noob - advice? thanks

I'm drawing on some very old memories from when my friends and I were into airsoft, but some names that stand out are KJW, CYMA, as well as Tanaka and Shoei for the higher end replicas.

I have a WE 1911 that I made to simulate my RIA 1911 that I run in single stack. Other than the slide weight, it's damn near identical in form and function. I use it to practice at home when I can't afford to use real ammo or have time to drive all the way to the range.

marui hi capa's are the gold standard you can mod them if your into modding. i typically just change out to an aluminum slide and upgrade the seals.

reliable airsoft pistols.


there are tricked out versions made by other makers. I know evike sells a few.

There salient series pistols are very attractive. I have no experience using them but look very pretty
