    Lube

Some run propane due to cost. There is a ratio of silicon lube that can be squirted into the mag when empty of gas before being refilled.

It’s my understanding is green gas is propane and silicon oil

Oil has to be added to the propane to lubricate the gun. Some adapters have oil fittings. Also, propane has mercaptan added, so it smells. Amazon sells green gas.

I bought the green gas for my boy's and quickly switched to Coleman 1lb canisters/adapter and that saved me huge.

There are O rings/seals that need the lube to keep them from drying out, so I popped the mags apart and used teflon tape to make a longer lasting seal.

Silicone spray helps, but is an unnecessary step after you mod the mags. Redo the tape when leaks start showing up again.

Thanks. I have a few airsoft guns bought a few years ago for a force on force class. Their magazines are all useless now. I should do this. Is this stuff on YouTube?

Silicon oil, is that the stuff we use to lubricate squeaky hinges, etc?

YT is where I found the info years ago. Dig for it.

"Tokyo Marui Glock 17 mag mod" or some such string.

I think these are what you need...or I hope so. Haven't had to use them because I haven't run out of green gas yet.

Thanks, guys. So, I just ordered green gas from Amazon, but I will keep the idea of refilling the magazines from a propane tank someday. Thanks for the Super Lube silicon oil and rebuilding my CO2 magazines references, those will come handy someday.

Quite pleased with the Umarex HK VP9 pistol. It's pretty amazing how the grip is customizable like the real one. The finish on the slide is a bit coarse, but I am sure it would've been too expensive to coat the slide like the factory. The trigger feel is crisp, not as good as the real gun, but not bad for a toy gun. The weight is very close also. I have yet to shoot it as I have yet to receive the green gas and it is rare that I find myself home alone without the wife around.

if there is a local rc shop to you. You can use silicone shock oil in the 10-20 wt range. I use 10 wt oil to lube the mags. Also some propane adaptors have a port you can add a drop of oil.

I typically put a drop of oil on the fill valve to help lubricate the orings on the bottom of the mag. Some mags fill valve/stem can be taken out with a flat head depending on your baseplate. Go slow when turning. It you break it it will be a pain to get out.

Propane is cheap to use but smells like fart. Green gas is easier to use but like you said is a little harder to find.

I'm sure there should be some airsoft shops in Nevada.

What adapters are good? I have a metal one someone gave me and I'm not sure it works at all. I get like two shots and done. So something must be wrong with it.
