    First Airsoft Pistol

I just purchased a green gas ASG polymer CZ P-09. It's my first airsoft gun, and I bought it so that I could setup my steel targets in the backyard and have fun with them. I also figured it would be way more fun than dry-fire practice.

So far, I'm impressed. The gun feels very solid and cycles like a real CZ. The aim is decent, but the accuracy is relatively inconsistent. I assume the velocity of the shots changes as the GG charge gets depleted.

I don't have anything to compare it to, so I'm just curious to know if there is a consensus airsoft pistol or brand that is more consistently accurate than others? I don't expect perfection, but I also don't know how close you can get. My only similar experience was shooting a Crosman 760 as a kid. It was my 5th birthday present way back in 1966. I loved shooting that thing!

how much did it cost you? Is this the version that can take C02 cartridges?

Reason i ask for the price is to see what your budget may be. There are more expensive ones but the ASG CZ's are good clones.

If it can take C02 cartridges/mags. Then each mag would be a bit more consistent before depletion and mag cool down.

Is this the model you own? https://www.evike.com/products/60790/

When asking by accuracy in airsoft, you need to define the distance to your target? And what brand and weight of BB are you using? Heavier BB's are generally more accurate/consistant but will reduce your max range.

Airsoft accuracy is largely effected by these factors:
        BB quality
        BB weight
FPS (BB speed measured at barrel)
        Hop-up
        Barrel tightness
        Gas valve/regulators

In Japan, Taiwan and HK where real firearms are illegal, action-shooters have IPSC and IDPA competitions using airsoft pistols. There is extensive after-market upgrade parts to improve accuracy and trigger pull but all I've seen are parts for 1911 and Glock airsoft pistols.
