    P-Rod Hunting

Anybody hunt small game with their Marauder Pistol (P-Rod)? I'm in the market for a budget pistol that can be used for plinking, ratting & turkey hunting out to 20-25 yards (head/neck shots only).

Just looking at the numbers, I was surprised to see that the .22 P-rod has slightly less energy (about 13 FPE) than my Gamo breakbarrel in .177 (about 16 FPE). I understand why but I'm just curious who has real-world experience with the p-rod and can tell me how it has performed on critters out to 20-25 yards.

        Hi

What kind of scope is that? Is it a rifle scope or a Pistol scope. I was considering the Weihraugh HW44 the one from Europe that has the detachable suppressor.

I have the bug buster 3x9 on mine and it's a good size for the little p-rod.

I did a lot of work on my P-Rod. I went for a 2-Tone look, with Silver Carbon Fiber moderator, Rings and sanded/clear-coated my trigger. Tuning mods has it shooting ~ 700 fps and quiet. Enlarged transfer port, BStaley mod, trigger work.

Nice that there are fans of the P-Rod here.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I also replaced the standard barrel with a Lothar Walther barrel. This makes the P-Rod less pellet fussy.
